Heat pumps utilise solar energy stored in the ground. This solar energy is available at all times, day and night, summer and winter, and in infinite quantities, because it is constantly being renewed.
In principle, the heat pump works like a refrigerator: the same technology, only the use is reversed. The heat pump absorbs heat at a low temperature from the heat source (earth, water or air) and releases heat at a higher temperature on the heating side.
The outstanding feature of the M-TEC heat pump is its efficiency. Thanks to its special direct evaporation technology, the heat pump converts one kilowatt hour of electricity into five kilowatt hours of heating energy, often even more. This results in extremely low operating costs compared to conventional heating systems.
